- Each year students get 10 parent note days of absence. This means that parents can write a note for any reason and it will be considered excused.
- The parent note must be given to the attendance officer the day the student gets back from their absence.
- A parent phone call or e-mail to the attendance officer will also be acceptable. You must provide this note within two days or you will be counted as a Truant Skip.
On the 10th absence from school — parents receive a letter from MASH; Call Home; Meeting requested
After 10 parent notes to excuse student absences:
-1st absence after the 10 allowed “T-10” day — MPD Warning; Call Home
-2nd -4th absences “T-10” days — MPD citation $
-5th absence “T-10” day--Habitual Truancy court procedures
